CONFERENCE THEME:
WITNESSING LOVE IN THE INTERIM TIME
We witness by the way we live our lives, by what we show up for and by what seizes our imagination. Our love, as Maryknollers, is global, even cosmic — encompassing all others on earth, most particularly those on the margins. It also extends to the earth itself, the home we strive to embrace and protect. The interim time is an epoch, historical and psychological, wherein we presently find ourselves. It is a time between paradigms, when a new level of consciousness is breaking forth but the old one has not yet died out. We can see glimpses of it in churches, governments, and world social structures. We, most of us, can feel it in our bones, in our own level of consciousness.
Welcome!
Something important happens at a MAC. Individuals are transformed. The movement gains new insights, maybe even redirects its priorities. The theme, keynote, and workshops contribute significantly in this regard, but in the end, it is the coming together (a conversation in the dining room, a walk together on the grounds, being present to another during a reflection time) that makes for the deepest impression. At this moment, we don’t yet know what will happen at MAC 2020. We do know that a portrait of people witnessing love in this interim time will emerge.

THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF LOVE
Synopsis: How do we witness to Love in a time of chaos when all our structures and systems are breaking down? How do we witness to Love in a time when polarities continue to separate us—as family, friends, citizens and members of the planetary community? How do we witness to Love at this time in our evolutionary journey? Believing that responding to these questions needs to emerge from a new consciousness, Nancy’s presentation integrates how consciousness develops with the transformative practice of contemplation. She explores the unique call we have as Maryknoll Affiliates, as persons committed to the spiritual dimension of our lives, to witness to Love in ways that are so needed at this time.
