Mini Mac 2 - Your Input

Mini Mac Tending the Earth 1.png

Dear Fellow Maryknoll Affiliates,

As you have heard, the next Maryknoll Affiliate Mini-MAC entitled "Tending the Earth" will be focused on addressing climate change from a faith perspective. Andy Panelli of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the Catholic Action Leadership Team will share with us the Climate Change Simulator. (https://www.climateinteractive.org/tools/en-roads/ ) within the context of Laudato Sí and our Catholic faith.

The Climate Change Simulator is a fascinating tool developed by a team of scientists and climatologists that allows us to review various strategies to address global warming. As we plan this engaging Mini-MAC, we want to acknowledge our fellow Affiliates who are already engaged in Tending the Earth, either through Environmental Justice, Care of Creation, or other actions to combat global warming and heal our Earth. The Affiliates are on it! Let's share what we are doing, make connections, and look for opportunities to learn from each other.

One way of sharing what we are doing is through the use of a Google app called Jamboard. Jamboard is free and is basically a whiteboard onto which you can upload photos and add text. It's like a digital bulletin board! Jamboard does not require you to sign up for anything nor download a program. You just click on the link below and the Jamboard opens.

Not so sure of how to work a Jamboard? Celine has created a short video that explains how to upload photos, add text, and add frames. Here is a link to the video on how to use a Jamboard.

Maryknoll Affiliates are involved in a wide variety of environmental actions. Sharing our stories and experiences before the Sept 11 Mini-MAC will make the event even more rewarding. Spread the word! Encourage your fellow Affiliates to share as well.

Thank you for all you do!

Peace,

The Maryknoll Affiliate Mini-MAC coordinating team: Celine, Agnes, Ginny, Jim, Ann, and Bob
