Mini Mac - Young People Speak
On November 12th at 4:00 PM Eastern, three faith-directed young persons committed to climate issues will speak to us about their approach to honoring and preserving our Earth’s environment. Following introductions and brief individual presentations, much of the format for this Mini Mac will be their responses to a series of questions (see below). Registration is also included below.
Henry Glynn is a senior at Creighton University studying political science, theology, and justice & peace studies. As a young Catholic excited for the future, my passions lie at the crucial intersections of climate science, faith, and politics.
Emily Burke, a graduate of Creighton, is ready to turn the pope's teaching into a career as she begins doctoral studies this fall in community and environmental sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kayla Sue Jacobs was former Director of Programs of Laudato Si' Ministries at Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet, Villa Park, Illinois, United States. She is presently in transition.

We have designed this Mini Mac to be substantially interactive. Celine Woznica and perhaps other team members (Ann Coady, Agnes Walsh, Ginny McEvoy, Jim Coady, and Bob Short) will begin with these questions:
1. What motivated you to a commitment to address global warming and climate change?
2. What sustains you? What gives you hope?
3. What role does your faith play in your activism? Why connect this action with the Catholic church?
4. What do you want to tell us older adults? What do you want us to know?

We are very much looking forward to hearing the responses of these three committed young people!
