Affiliate Ann Carr was asked by “Catholic Women Preach” to preach for the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Catholic Women Preach is an innovative project designed to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the Church today by responding to Pope Francis’ call for broader and more active engagement of the baptized in the preaching mission of the Church -

Ann’s words are beautiful and profound, gentle and powerful at the same time. Listen carefully to each sentence to get a glimpse of that which is emanating from her own deep understanding of faith. Ann holds Maryknoll’s vision (and Pope Francis too) close to her. It’s not surprising therefore that this ‘homily’ connects the cry of the poor and the cry of the earth to the Scriptures of the day. She also offers significant insight into the new consciousness evolving in our world. Thank you Ann.
