On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, Jason Gehrig, presented the results of his book, Water and Conflict, at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC. Mr. Ken Hackett, the President of Catholic Relief Services, introduced Jason to an overflow audience.

Washington, DC - "Miami is waiting to welcome you to the 2011 Mission Conference 'Push out into the deep... Communion and Missionary Discipleship,'" said Archbishop Thomas Wenski of the Archdiocese of Miami. Capturing the message of the he said, "Inspired by the Gospel of St. Luke, Chapter 5, this call to communion and missionary discipleship is a call to put out into the deep and like the promise of the deep, be surprised by God's bounty."
Day of Action to Highlight Issue of Immigration Detention
(Note: Maryknoll Affiliates of New Jersey, Philadelphia and Red Bank are co-sponsors)
JERSEY CITY, NJ—Over 100 People of faith and immigrant rights advocates from over 30 different organizations across the state of New Jersey and New York are expected to gather at Liberty State Park in front of the foot bridge to Ellis Island on the Christian feast day of Ash Wednesday, March 9th at 9:30 A.M. for a press conference and interfaith prayer service before walking 12 miles to the Elizabeth Detention Center to draw attention to the suffering that is inflicted on immigrants their families, and the communities in which they live by the U.S.'s current immigration and detention policies.

Sister Aurora de la Cruz MM met with the Hawaii Chapter on January 18, 2011. Roseyn Devlin led the prayer using Janice McLaughlin's book. Aurora then shared about he mission experiences. At the end of her talk, she distributed the Maryknoll Sisters Centennial bookmark and gave the group a copy of the book on Carol Piette "Vessel of Clay".
