MAC Conference Fee and Travel Grants Available for 2017
As with previous conferences, Maryknoll Affiliates Conference (MAC) 2017 attendees may apply for a “Conference Fee and Travel Grant” for the conference hosted by the Guatemalan Chapter, to be held November 9-12. This program is possible due to your generous funding of Affiliate operations the past few years and our Executive Coordinator’s careful management of your dollars.
The goal of the program is to encourage representation from as many as possible of the over fifty Affiliate chapters located both around the world and here in the U.S. We also hope that, with grant assistance, individuals who have not yet had an opportunity to attend an international conference will be able to do so.
With funds limited, we ask applicants to explore and consider all possible funding sources that may be available to them. For example, chapters might explore supporting participation through donation of frequent flyer miles and chapter member contributions. In 2014, over fifteen attendees benefited from grant assistance; we hope that as many or more will be assisted through the 2017 program. Applications are due by April 1, 2017. Depending upon funding availability, applications may be accepted after the April 1 dead line.
